This coming Tuesday, September 1st is Election Day in this important campaign to replace Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher.
No one knows this job or the 10th congressional district better than Ellen Tauscher. Ellen has endorsed just one person in this race: my long-time friend Mark DeSaulnier.
Mark is the only candidate exclusively endorsed by Ellen Tauscher, Congressman George Miller and myself.
With low voter turnout, your vote is critical to the outcome of this election. Therefore, we ask that you stand with us in voting for Mark DeSaulnier.
Mark has been a long-time member of our community. During the last 30 years, I have seen Mark engage and problem solve OUR local challenges as a Mayor, city councilmember, county supervisor, assemblymember and senator.
Mark stood up to big polluters to protect our environment, took on the tobacco companies to protect public health, and cast tough votes to increase access to health care for people in the district. He has consistently fought for the people of this district and will stand up for you when he is in Washington.
