DeSaulnier hosts town hall discussion of health reforms in Fairfield this Sunday
WALNUT CREEK - Senator and candidate for the 10th Congressional District Mark DeSaulnier hosts the fourth town hall in a series of Congressional District 10 town halls to discuss President Obama's health care reform plan. Without a sitting Congressperson in Congressional District 10, Senator DeSaulnier is hosting health care town halls so CD 10 residents have the opportunity to become more informed about President Obama's health care plan and ask questions about how the plan will affect the people of CD 10. DeSaulnier will discuss President Obama's current health care plan and how DeSaulnier will fight for increased access and quality of treatment for all in CD 10.

BACKGROUND:
DeSaulnier has a long history of fighting to increase access to health care and quality of treatment for the people in the 10th Congressional District. As Contra Costa County Supervisor, DeSaulnier was the deciding vote to save the County's medical center and introduced a comprehensive Women's Health Program that included the construction of five new Women's Health Centers. A member of the Speaker's Health Care Reform Working Group in the State Assembly, DeSaulnier was a key advocate for affordable and accessible health care. DeSaulnier has made health care reform a priority in this Congressional race and will continue to fight for increased access to quality affordable health care in Congress.
DeSaulnier, a Democrat, has been endorsed by Congressman George Miller, Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, Senators Loni Hancock and Lois Wolk, and over a dozen local labor unions and over two dozen local elected officials.
